Photograph caption dated September 18, 1989 reads, "'I feel swell,' said John Goodman as he arrived at the Pasadena Civic with fiance´e Annabeth Hartzog. 'I'm late and I'm scared.'" Goodman was nominated for the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series Emmy for the character "Dan Conner" on "Roseanne" (1988-1997). The 41st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards program was held on September 17, 1989 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
