Pictured are Det. John A. Barber (left) talking with rape suspect, Vincent Bernard Monteleone. Monteleone, 19, of 2325 N. Keystone Ave., Burbank, was ordered held to answer on a statutory charge following a preliminary hearing before Municipal Judge Walter C. Allen. The judge set bail at $10,000 and designated Oct. 7 as date of arraignment in Superior Court. The youth was charged with criminally attacking a Burbank woman last Sept. 15. He allegedly accosted her with a gun as she walked down a North Hollywood street and forced her to disrobe in a vacant lot across from 8306 Tujunga Ave., where the alleged attack took place. He was arrested when he attempted to make a date with his victim. Photograph dated November 18, 1949.
