Description
Photograph shows (left-to-right) Bill Welch, and Ross Parlette standing at the DIGNITY booth at the Lambda Association community information fair, 1980. Bill is handing a Ross a piece of paper. The sign behind them reads: "DIGNITY, mission valley gay Catholic men & women and their friends".
Written on verso: "Lambda sponsor. Gay Information Fair. SJ City College 1980. DIGNITY. Left to right Bill Welch & Ross Parlette". DIGNITY/USA is a national lay movement of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered Catholics, their families, and their friends. The DIGNITY/San Jose chapter was formed in 1976 and ceased operations in 1982.
