Description
Photograph of the arcade at Mission San Luis Obispo, California, ca.1870. The structure is one story and is old and weather-beaten. In front of the mission, there is a damaged streetlight. To the left of that is a dirt road that leads up to an elevated walkway. A dozen columns line the walkway. Above one of the many doors is a sign, which reads: "Dennistaboas, House Painter". To the left of this sign is another sign, which reads: "Tab[...] Seltzer".... The roof of the building is lain with spanish style tiles. Several brick chimneys protrude through the roof. At right, there is a bell tower with a cross standing at its pinnacle. In the distance, another cross is perched on top of the crest of another building.
