Description
Yellow, green and blue postcard featuring a bear in suit carrying a suitcase, with San Jose's orchard in the background. An inset features the electric light tower. Postmarked San Jose, August 26, 1909, to Mr. F. Natusch, #161 Sagamore Street, Ocean View, Cal. Message: San Jose 8/25 09. Dear Frank. Many thanks for the pretty birthday card. Lizzi looks fine she gained 8 lbs. Ruth looks also fine and has a great time with Mama now. They have moved to the Breakers, a hotel near the Casino and in front of the beach. So they get the refreshing sea breeze day and night. The girls went down the slide so often that the wore the lining out and the Co. had to put in a new one. You try and come here for the 9th we are going to have a greater time and parade here than on the 4th of July. Tell Aunt Clara and Uncle Nick to come too, and get some nice sunshine the same time, it is very warm here now. With best regards to all I remain Your Papa.
