Photograph of a part of Hiroshima which was leveled by the "Little Boy" blast. "NXP/TRO 771029-(FILE)-12/6/60-Washington: The AEC and the Defense Dept. released 12/6 a picture of a "Little Boy" type of nuclear weapon, the kind detonated over Hiroshima, Japan, in World War II. The weapon, with a yield of 20,000 tons of high explosives, destroyed block after block of buildings and killed thousands.
