Description
Title supplied by cataloger.
Built in 1969-75 and designed by architect Minoru Yamasaki, the two soaring towers with triangular floor plans were dedicated in October 1975 in Century City. The structures are the only twin triangular buildings in the world.
Photograph caption dated October 31, 1979 reads, "The twin towers in Century City are at their most interesting from Olympic Boulevard, at about 40 mph. The distance makes the towers read as the minimal sculpture they are. Their spatial relationship to each other changes with the parallax created by driving."
