Description
A picture of Guadalupe Salazar Aviles (photo donor's mother and previous married name Rivera) with Ofelia Esparza (photo donor and maiden name Rivera) from a catalog for the Folklife Festival that was held during the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. The Folklife Festival was a 2 day celebration of traditional Mexican art that was held at the Plaza de la Raza Cultural Center for the Arts and Education. Guadalupe and Ofelia were very well known in the community for their artistry in making altars. Around the picture is a black border with the captions: ""Guadalupe Salazar Aviles & Ofelia Esparza 1984."" This image was provided by Ofelia Esparza for inclusion in the Foto East LA collection.
