Description
Indicative of a rich railroading history, this circa 2000 postcard shows a Union Pacific 0-6-0 switching locomotive, making its way along Front and L streets in Old Sacramento State Historic Park. The engine was built in Lima, Ohio, in 1920. In the background, to the left of the frame, is what had been the What Cheer House, built in 1853.
