Description
A cabinet card showing a Chinese procession with a paper dragon marching during a parade, Los Angeles, probably 1901 May. The image is taken from the side of a commercial street and captures marchers with the dragon walking down the thoroughfare while crowds line both sides. Portions of some commercial structures and some American flags as decoration are also of note. It is probable the event was the same parade as that in item .1 of this accession, during which President William McKinley participated. With some soiling and rubbing, mainly to the mount, the condition is good overall.
