The festival, taking up four city blocks, between 1st and 4th along Grand, was expected to draw 20,000 people to Downtown L.A. The festival was spawned from a 2003 event timed to the opening of Walt Disney Concert Hall. A small corner of Disney Hall, as well as Dorothy Chandler pavilion, can be seen in the background.
