Title supplied by cataloger. Photograph caption dated March 14, 1952 reads, "A thundering blast caused this scene of wreckage in shed of the Berg Metals Corp. at Adams and Long Beach boulevards. A 300-ton baling press blew up. Some workmen expressed theory that blast was caused by a souvenir war shell buried in the metal being processed. There was no fire and no one was injured."
