Description
This circa 1980 postcard shows Capitol Mall as seen from the cupola of the California State Capitol building. To the far left of the frame is the 17-story California State Resources building, built in 1964 and located at 1416 Ninth Street. The Greco-Roman feature in the left forground is the Library and Courts building at 914 Capitol Mall. Visibile beyond the the Library and Courts building are the Capitol Towers Garden Apartments at 1500 Seventh Street. To the right of the postcard, and in the distance, is the Tower Bridge, built in 1935.
