Photograph caption dated September 25, 1961 reads, "A giant Air Force Thor-Able ballistic missile and space vehicle will be on display through Saturday at the new Alpha-beta Shopping Center, Burbank boulevard and Whitsett avenue, North Hollywood. Visitors may enter the missile and view space exhibits in the space showroom. Waiting to answer spectators' questions is A/1c Benjamin D. Cleveland. In addition to its use as a weapon, the Thor has played a leading role in space research."
