Description
Photograph of a view of roads on the cliffs in Santa Monica's Palisades Park, showing the beach in the distance, 1910-1920. The two roads are at left and are narrow dirt paths that lead down from the cliff and converge in the middle distance. They are bordered by a wooden fence, which can also be seen on the top of the cliff at right. Two early-model automobiles are visible on the roads. A large rock formation is at center, near where the roads intersect. The beach is at right, and the broad, sandy expanse is divided in several places by thin fencing. A short wharf can be seen in the distance.
