"Cross water flier Oak. to Austria Lt. Maitland Hegenberger 1928, one of the mothers" handwritten on back. -- view 2 (2008-0942). Shows automobiles and spectators. "Lt. Maitland, Hegenberger, 1928" -- handwritten on back. Photographs taken by Orville T. Blake (1620 40th Ave., Oakland, Calif.). His parents were Reo Blake Goble and Vern Goble, brothers were Marvin and George Blake. Parents and brothers show up in some of the photographs, where the family was vacationing. Lt. Lester J. Maitland and Lt. Albert F. Hegenberger flew from Oakland to Wheeler Field, Oahu, in Atlantic-Fokker C-2 (Bird of Paradise) in June 1927. Was welcomed home July 12, 1927 with parade up Market in San Francisco, and, second, parade up Broadway, Oakland. Mr. & Mrs. Walter H. Blake, Jr.,
