Photograph caption dated June 5, 1964 reads, "A preview of forthcoming 'June Bouquet Concert' is given by composer-conductor John Green for Mrs. Howard Brown, left, retiring president of the Cadenzas, women's auxiliary of the San Fernando Valley Symphony Association, and Mrs. Carroll Willoughby, new president. The concert, to be held at 8:15 p.m. June 20 in the Reseda High School auditorium, will feature Green as guest conductor of the San Fernando Valley Symphony Orchestra. Green installed the new Cadenzas officers at a luncheon this week in Mrs. Brown's Northridge home. Others installed were Mmes. Madill Gartiser, Donald McCall and James D. Hodgson, vice presidents; S. William Bridges and S. P. Youngdale, secretaries; Jay Pugh, treasurer, and Gene Zemsay, historian. Tickets for the Green concert are on sale through any of the Cadenza members."
