Description
Image of a pattern sheet with instructions, part of an effort by businesses in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to help supply United States army soldiers with mittens early in the American Civil War; text and patriotic imagery of flags, the goddess Columbia, soldiers, George Washington, and an eagle with Union shield.
