Description
Photograph of an architectural rendering. "Ground breaking ceremonies for the three-story, 20,000 square feet office building being erected by the membership of the motion picture cameramen and film editors unions at 7715 Sunset Boulevard will be held this morning with an impressive array of screen notables participating. -- Jack L. Warner, president of Warner Brothers Pictures and Charles Boren, executive vice-president of the Association of Motion Picture Producers Inc., will assist Sherman Todd, president of the Film Editor's Local and Howard Esterbrook, president of the Cameramen's Local, in turning the first spade of earth. Howard Keel, president of the Screen Actors Guild and George Sidney, past-president of the Screen Directors' Guild, also are among those invited to participate in the 11:30 a.m. ceremonies. -- The modern steel frame and ceramic tile veneer structure designed by the architectural firm of Honnald and Rex will be known as the 7715 Sunset Building. Lower floor of the building will be used as the headquarters for the film editors and cameramen's unions. Second and third floors will be rental areas. The building management will be in the hands of Coldwell and Banker." -- press release attached to verso from Warner Brothers Studios, Burbank, California, HO 9-1251, for release Wednesday, 4 November [1959].
