Description
Photograph was edited for publication purposes.
Photograph caption dated June 20, 1960 reads, "Susie Seal, Pacific Ocean Park's first mother of year, coaxes her new-born daughter to slide into POP's Penguin Pool for swimming lessons. Although Art McBride, park supervisor of animals, says seals are not born with natural aquability, Susie's baby girl, as yet unnamed, is doing nicely, now that she's overcome fear of pool paddling at POP."
