Photograph caption dated June 6, 1962 reads, "Highlights in America's past are spotlighted on one of five floats featured in the second annual Freedom Season parade. The floats were joined Sunday by 12 marching bands, 15 color guards and more than 750 equestrians in a march along Ventura Blvd. in Woodland Hills. The parade marked the start of the final 10 days of the annual West Valley patriotic celebration. Special events this week will include a children's parade Saturday and free variety show Sunday. Freedom Season closes on July 4."
