Description
A procession of people, mostly women and children, participate in a religious procession celebrating Palm Sunday in San Agustín. They are gathered outside around a wooden cross and a religious statue representing Jesus Christ. Many of them are holding a palm branch in their hands. San Agustín was occupied by the guerrillas for a couple of weeks during the month of February in 1983 and its population dropped from 6,000 to 4,000 due to civilians abandoning their homes in fear of the occupation. Una multitud de personas, en su mayoría mujeres y niños, participa en una procesión religiosa que celebra el Domingo de Ramos en San Agustín. Se están reuniendo al aire libre alrededor de una cruz de madera y una estatua religiosa que representa a Jesucristo. Muchos de ellos están sosteniendo una rama de palma en sus manos.
