Photograph caption dated October 21, 1957 reads, "Burbank police Sgt. James Mula stands by sewer excavation at Chandler boulevard and Mariposa street where construction worker Arthur Gil of Norwalk was trapped when rain-soden [sic] wall collapsed and buried him. Fellow workers worked for 20 minutes before they managed to free him. He was taken to Saint Joseph Hospital where his condition was listed as serious."
