Photograph caption dated June 4, 1956 reads "Bishop Manning, second from left, dedicates statue of Friar Father Fermin Francisco de Lasuen, founder of San Fernando Mission, at ceremonies in west courtyard of San Fernando Mission. Dedication was part of San Fernando Fiesta celebration. Father de Lasuen is said to have founded more California missions than famed father Serra." The Mission is located at 15151 San Fernando Mission Boulevard in the Mission Hills community, part of the City of Los Angeles.; See images #00142519 through #00142520 for all photos in this series.
