Photograph article dated October 14, 1963 partially reads, "Santa Susana Pass, once a gambling place for early Indians, has found new life as a gambling spot for modern-day Valley residents. Motorists threading their way through the narrow pass road seldom notice a low, square plain building that sits atop a steep hill there... The Pass Club, only an ace from the Los Angeles County line, is one of six card rooms licensed by Ventura County. Others are scattered in various parts of the county, including Camarillo and Ventura."
