Apartment building on Flower St. where Richard Graham, alias C.H. Lettis, was killed after shooting at police officers who came to arrest him. The building faces an empty lot with apartments opening onto porches that extend the length of the building. A few clothing items are hanging out to dry. Children are on the balcony. The photo verso states: "Scene of chase and bullet hail. Here is the yard which Graham crossed and recrossed as a shower of lead from the pursuing officers' guns fell about him. He ran into the yard from his room at Third and Figueroa streets, when an officer waiting to arrest him made a slight noise." Photo dated: Aug. 20, 1926.
