Photograph of a group of about 21 people at the sides of the door (the "Maximillian door") to the Convent of Capuchinas, Queretaro, Mexico, ca.1900. Two large leafy trees shade the group. This is the door from which Maximillian, who was imprisoned at the convent, emerged immediately prior to being executed by shooting.
