Description
Studio portrait of Elsie Sibree with female Malagasy friend, possibly a fellow teacher. Elsie Sibree (1881-1969) served the LMS in Madagascar for fifty years from 1904 to 1954. Her work was mainly educational, and she bacame Headmistress of the Girls' Central School in Tananarive in 1907. Elsie was the daughter of the LMS missionary, James Sibree.
