Description
Site of Padre Marguia's third church of Mission Santa Clara, with depot of South Pacific Coast Railroad in background. The third Mission cornerstone was laid in March 1781, dedicated on May 15, 1784 by Padre Junipero Serra, damaged by earthquakes in 1812 and 1818, and dismantled in 1819. Located on the second site of the mission. The 'x' marks the site of the second third Marguia Mission damaged by earthquake and dismantled in 1819.
