Description
This is Ludmilla Welch standing with her dog in Steep Ravine near her and Thaddeus Welch's cabin on the slope of Mt. Tamalpais. The Welches lived here from 1894-1902. Stamped on the back of the photograph is: "If this material is under copyright status, it has been reproduced for the purpose of pivate study only and must not be further reproduced or distributed without permision of the copyright owner. CALIFORNIA STATE LIBRARY Source: California Section Photograph Collection Negative GL#2481". Also on the reverse side is a handwritten note, crossed out and partially obscured "View from Thaddeus......looking down the ravine [Bolinas......] View 2 or three views."
