Description
George Watson Cole was the librarian for the Henry E. Huntington Library and Art Gallery from 1915 to 1924. Previously, Cole had studied with Melvil Dewey, and worked at the Newberry Library in Chicago and public libraries on the East Coast. The floor plan hints at Cole's occupation, with an unusual combination dining room/library and a room labelled 'books.'
