Jehan Agrama was born in Cairo, Egypt in 1959. In 1960, her family moved to Los Angeles so that her parents could attend UCLA. For about five years the family stayed in student housing as her father, who was a filmmaker in Cairo, earned a film degree and her mother earned a Master’s in English. With their degrees acquired, the family moved from Los Angeles to Rome, Italy. Jehan moved back to the United States in 1976 to attend Pomona College in Claremont. She earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Pomona and an Honors M.B.A. from Pepperdine University. Jehan later made a name for herself in the entertainment industry and served as board member for the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation in Los Angeles.
