Photograph caption dated July 27, 1963 reads "First place winners at the Cheerleader's Clinic at Redlands University were Patsy Colgrove, front left, and Nancy Willert and Mike Brown, left, Dave Goelz, center, and Bud Coble, all from John Burroughs High School, Burbank. The clinic, sponsored by the National Cheerleader Association, was attended by cheerleaders from five states: California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Alabama. During the five days of competition the group received a fourth place, two second places and two first places including first in the final competition. Burroughs High also won the trophy three years ago."
