Title supplied by cataloger. Visible structures are: (extreme left) 639-641 N. Broadway - the Bozzani Motor Car Company, formerly the Los Angeles and Redondo Railway Depot; advertising for Plymouth and Dodge motor cars, trucks, and busses is visible along the top side of the building. The long white adobe located at 641-643 N. Broadway is identified as the second Casa Santa Cruz, which Mrs. Isabel Santa Cruz purchased from Jose´ Mascarel in the early 1860s - it was demolished in 1957. At the time this photograph was taken, two small signs (barely visible at this angle) were posted to the upper right wall: "Se rentan cuartos a precios muy comodos" (translation: "Rooms rented at comfortable prices"), and "Se hacen costuras" (translation: "Sewing is done").
