Photograph caption dated December 24, 1955 reads, "'Movie fans around the world still overwhelmingly favor Hollywood films.' So said Alfred Hitchcock, , noted director-producer upon his arrival in Hollywood this morning (Friday, Dec. 23) from a two-month 24,000-mile round-the-world trip. 'There is a great demand for American pictures, particularly in the Far east,' Hitchcock declared. 'There is a big interest in our films and personalities.' Hitchcock left Hollywood Oct. 15 to attend the Royal Command Performance in London. From there, he went around the world to supervise the dubbing and translation of his latest Paramount release, 'The Trouble With Harry.' Among the cities he visited were Paris, Rome, Cairo, Bombay, Delhi, Agra, Calcutta, Darjeeling, Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Tokyo. The famous movie maker, who was accompanied by his wife Alma and daughter Patricia, will only be in Hollywood a short time as he is scheduled to take off again for New York to direct 'The Wrong Man' for Warner Bros."
