Photograph caption dated January 11, 1960 reads, "At each crack of Glenn Randall's whip, Roy Rogers, Liberty horses go into different phase of their act. Here, they display to Valley Times readers famous 'elephant mount' so familiar to circus lovers. Randall said that proper training of Liberty act from beginning often requires full year of schooling, then weekly rehearsals through full act thereafter. Horseman keeps total of 46 head of horses at North Hollywood stable, keeps personal tabs on training of each one.He trained his first horse at age of nine, sold it to circus".
