Several buildings can be seen in the background, including One California Plaza, Grand Promenade Tower, Wells Fargo Tower, KPMG Tower, as well as others. MOCA, or the Museum of Contemporary Art, was founded in the spring of 1979. It is the only museum in Los Angeles devoted exclusively to contemporary art, and has developed one of the nation's most renowned permanent collections, now numbering over 5,000 works.
