Description
Reel 1. Santa Fe Railroad display of their new Hi-Level passenger cars - ordered for the San Francisco Chief - at San Francisco Pier 43 on April 5, 1964. The movie starts at the Santa Fe terminal on 4th Street, next to the historic Keystone Hotel, showing the ticket-office window-display of advertising for the railroad’s passenger trains, and continues with a Cable Car ride to Hyde Street Pier. Movie ends with interior shots of the passenger cars. The display train includes two new Hi Level Cars, a dome lounge, diner, and three other passenger cars, along with locomotive No 21C and EMD F3A. Reel 2. A ride on the Santa Fe Hi-Level Car Excursion Train on Sunday, May 3, 1964 from Oakland to Visalia. Movie starts with interior shots of the train and ends with external shots of the train in Visalia.
