Description
Photograph of the Salt River Dam construction, "Looking east from the west end of the dam", October 19, 1906. Men are scattered on the tops of broken portions of the dam which fill the scene at center. Pipes run horizontally just above the site as a crane extends over it from the left to lift the heavy slabs of concrete. What appear to be lights hang from a loosely-hanging line that extends far above the site from the rock wall in the background. A dark puddle of dirty water sits on the left of the former dam with gravel hills surrounding it.
