The Granada Hills Memorial Church also known as the Granada Hills Community Presbyterian Church was later renamed the First Presbyterian Church of Granada Hills, located at 10400 Zelzah Avenue, Northridge. Photograph caption dated September 15, 1956 reads "Sanctuary of Presbyterian Church of Granada Hills uses Gothic-type arch in exterior although interior use is strictly contemporary. Designed by architect Floyd Brewster of Los Angeles, present center was built in 1949-50 for approximately $45,000. It becomes sanctuary for religious occasions, is converted to social center with removal of portable chairs. Plan follows that of most Valley churches established since end of World War II in rapidly growing areas, will be expanded with addition of permanent sanctuary when size of congregation demands."; See images #00145711 through #00145713 for all photos in this series.
