A woman dressed in a checkered suit and white hat stands outside of a bookmobile window as a man sitting inside, possibly the librarian, hands her a book. This "traveling Branch" bookmobile parked along Grand Avenue was actually a New York Public Library Bookmobile, which participated in the 1930 Los Angeles Library Association convention.
