Photograph caption dated March 23, 1964 reads, "Ten young Japanese violin prodigies played in concert at Valley State College Saturday as part of international good will tour. The youngsters, aged 5-12, are under the direction of Prof. Shinichi Suzuki, who sponsored and popularized the Western instrument - the violin - in Japan. While the music is all difficult, the children do get one break: the smaller ones get smaller violins."
