The bulk of the Lesbian History Project was compiled at University of Southern California by Yolanda Retter, a web-based archive aimed to raise visibility for lesbians in a largely-male-dominated LGBT movement, especially lesbians of color. Diane Germain conducted a series of interviews in San Diego with local lesbians from various walks of life. Note on original label: Lori Barnes, 8-25-97, LGHSSD, By Diane F. Germain.
