Photograph article dated October 17, 1961 partially reads, "Gordon is president and general manager of Presto Chemical, Inc., a young Valley firm engaged in the production of key ingredients for the plastics industry...'Each day manufacturers are finding new applications for plastic on their production lines. In turn, the plastics industry is continually developing raw materials that more adequately serve manufacturers,' he pointed out. One of these raw materials is a special 'Gel Coat' which was developed and introduced to the market by Presto Chemical...'it is the first material of its kind that is both fire and stain resistant,' Gordon explained...At present the Presto Chemical plant located at 9346 Glenoaks Blvd, Sun Valley, is producing 1,200 gallons of Gel Coat a day." Gene Gordon demonstrates the fire-resistant 'Gel Coat' developed by his company Presto Chemical, Inc.
