Photograph caption dated July 31, 1961 reads, "Phil Phillips, Jr., anthem singer - Baseball still tops show business." Young Canoga Park resident, former mascot for the Boston Red Sox as well as a frequent stage and television actor, has been selected to sing the national anthem in Fenway Park for the second All-Star game of the season.
