Description
The Holy Trinity with the virgin, Los Angeles, 1978, Otis/Parsons School of Art & Design, exterior, 2401 Wilshire Blvd. (facing Carondelet, west side of campus). These three standing figures, wearing white scientific lab coats are meant to be Mother Mary, God and Jesus Christ. As models, the artist used three well-known television personalities who all represent traditional values. Jan Clayton (as Mother Mary) played the mother in the original "Lassie." Clayton Moore (God) was "The Lone Ranger." Billy Gray (Jesus Christ) played Bud, the son, on "Father Knows Best." Twitchell did this mural for his master's thesis at Otis. By Kent Twitchell.
