Annotation translation: "The banks are covered by a kind of weeping willow and by mangroves which together form the swampy wood. During high tide all this land is under water. There are very many crocodiles here." Annotation: "Eine Art Trauerweide & Migroven zieren die Flussufer & bilden den Sumpfwald. Zur Zeit der Flut wird alles Land unter Wasser gesetzt. Hier wimmelt es von Krokodilen." Stamped: "Museum der Basler Mission Basel, Missionsstrasse 21."
