Installation shot of Ken Gonzales-Day solo exhibition at SPACE Gallery in Portland, Maine. Photograph includes (left to right), "Erased Lynching Series" "Old Oregon Trail" and "Golden Chain." The lynch victims have been removed in this conceptually driven photographic series which sought to raise awareness of the history of lynching in California and vigilantism in the West. See Lynching in the West: 1850-1935 (Duke, 2006).
