Photograph article dated August 13, 1962 partially reads, "Mrs. Jane Pinheiro, Quartz Hill artist, is one of the many people who have encouraged the Antelope Valley Fair and Alfalfa Festival to keep pace with the rapid growth of the Antelope Valley...Her experience with the Valley Fair Association dates back to 1944, three years after the Lancaster Fairgrounds was completed, financed entirely by ranchers and merchants. Today she is one of the eight members of the association's board of directors and is herself responsible for six committees dealing with crafts, gems and minerals, ceramics, photography, fine arts and floriculture."
