Highly ornate moonstone at the bottom of the final flight of steps to approach the upper terrace of the shrine. It has several points of divergence from the typical embellished moonstone. As Godakumbuara observes (and we paraphrase his comments here): The flame-motif usually found at the outer edge is now close to the central lotus from which it is separated only by a band of quatre-petal flowers. Beyond the circle of flames is a band of a floral pattern arranged in triangles and beyond that a rambling creeper. In the last sculptured band separated from the rambling creeper by a line of quartre-petal flowers is a line of animals: elephants, bulls and horses. The horse occurs only twice and the lion is completely absent. We also observe that the band of geese is missing here. Length: 7 feet, 11.5 inches; breadth: 4 feet.
